Join Deran Young and other BTR Members in Santa Fe, New Mexico for 25 hours of training. The cost is $3500.00.
The Fee Includes:
In addition to the training, this fee includes 6-nights lodging and one catered meal/day (typically dinner).The training and accommodations will be in a beautiful home setting in Santa Fe.
Arrival and Departure Dates:
Arrival: Sunday, October 20th, by 4pm. The training begins with an informal pre-training event on Sunday evening.
Departure: Saturday, October 26th, 2pm or later
Summary of Training:
This is a 5-day training experience that gives practitioners a clear sense of how to prepare, administer and integrate the ketamine experience. We will engage interactive teaching modules in the most effective strategies, orientations and frameworks in Psychedelic Therapy and Ketamine Assisted Therapy.
Participants will have the opportunity to experience all aspects of a therapeutic ketamine experience—including preparation and integration. We value a humanistic approach and will offer support for your personal process with the medicine and material as an integral piece of professional preparedness.
Description of the Training Experience:
Participants will all have individual consultations with a training facilitator in the preceding weeks to discuss intentions and begin the transformation process. Participants will experience being both the journeyer and the sitter for intramuscular ketamine sessions. The general format will include a ceremony to open and close the container, didactic and experiential education, case discussion, medicine sessions, and facilitated group integration.

Dr. March Shortt, Asheda Collective – Immersive Training and Experientials
Dr. Mark Shortt is a Naturopathic Doctor with 10+ years of experience in consciousness studies, psychedelics, and health, and a graduate of the 2019 CPTR cohort. Specializing in education & training, program development, group experience, and immersive retreats. In addition to the Asheda Collective, he also has had roles as Director of Training and Clinical Development for Field Trip Health, Director of Naturopathic Medicine with Helios Psychiatry, Inc. (Palo Alto, CA), and as a private practice Naturopathic Physician in Seattle, Washington.
Deran Young, LCSW – Founder of Black Therapists Rock
Deran is a licensed therapist specializing in racial trauma and legacy burdens. She is also a Co-Author of the New York Times Best Seller, You Are Your Best Thing, a retired military officer, & founder of Black Therapists Rock.
Black Therapists Rock is a non profit organization with a network of over 30,000 mental health professionals committed to reducing the psychological impact of systemic oppression and intergenerational trauma.
She obtained her social work degree from University of Texas, where she studied abroad in Ghana, West Africa for two semesters creating a high school counseling center for under-resourced students. Deran has visited over 37 different countries and her clinical experience spans across four different continents.
Her passion for culture and people has led her to become a highly sought after diversity and inclusion consultant working with companies like BBERG, Facebook, Linked In, and YWCA. She resides in the Washington DC area with her young son.
