Cultural Attunement for the Global Majority in IFS
A success story in developing AI for the global majority and the healers who serve them
September 23, 2026 at 12-1pm ET

If you’re skeptical of AI in therapy, you have good reasons — tools built by companies that don’t share our values, trained on data that erases our clients, deployed with no one accountable for the harm. This hour offers a counterexample. Tamala Floyd (LCSW, IFS™ Lead Trainer) partnered with Parts Companion — built by a mission-driven organization devoted to the alleviation of inner suffering, not profit — to teach it the nine kinds of racism-related harm Global Majority clients carry into therapy, and the missteps practitioners make around them. We’ll start with the clinical material itself: the themes, the stumbles, the repairs. Then we’ll show you exactly how the technology was tested and held accountable — and let you judge for yourself whether AI, led with Self, can be worthy of the therapy room.

Whether you’re curious, cautious, or deeply skeptical about AI in therapy, your perspective belongs in this conversation. Join us by registering here.

Parts Companion spent six months working with three senior clinicians to teach Parts Companion how LGBTQ+ and Global Majority experiences actually show up in therapy — and how easily they get missed. This is the story of that work. Learn more about the journey here.

Adam Taylor, Senior Director at Evolve Labs
Adam leads the Evolve Labs division at Evolve.org, spearheading internal product concepts to bring Evolve’s own innovative ideas like “Parts Companion” to life.  A “maker” at heart, he brings over 20 years of experience in building mobile, web, and AI products, and is a seasoned entrepreneur and startup operator.

Since discovering mindfulness and meditation in his early 20s Adam has witnessed how much of society’s challenges and suffering reduces to a cultural under-appreciation and under-development of consciousness, and how many of today’s most used technologies exacerbate this issue. As such, he finds a perfect home at Evolve, developing technology opinionated toward the evolution of consciousness, intentionality, and pro-social outcomes.
