Coaching and Trauma: Concepts, Boundaries, and Effective Practice

September 19, 2024 @ 2:00 pm - February 13, 2025 @ 3:30 pm EDT

Animas Centre for Coaching’s new programme, “Coaching and Trauma: Concepts, Boundaries, and Effective Practice,” runs from 19 September 2024 to 13 February 2025.  This 20-week course is accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) with 30 CCEU, including 23 hours for Core Competencies!

Throughout coaching conversations and transformative dialogue, trauma often emerges as the client explores their inner world, values, and beliefs. This creates complex challenges that many coaches struggle to navigate, mindful of the boundaries between coaching and other interventions such as therapy. Despite advancements in working with trauma in coaching, there remains a great deal to understand about the impact of trauma, the crucial skills needed, and the ethical guidelines that coaches must observe when trauma is present in the coaching space.

Whether you’re an experienced coach, a new practitioner, or a compassionate leader, this programme aims to deepen your understanding of trauma, providing you with the context, knowledge, and skills needed to confidently navigate working with trauma when it emerges.

Join us for insightful and practical learning tailored to address trauma within coaching, with a comprehensive curriculum featuring 17 weekly lectures and 3 facilitated consolidation sessions. Learn from world-renowned experts in trauma and coaching like Bessel van der Kolk, Dan Siegel, Julia Vaughan-Smith, Monnica Williams, Mark Walsh, Deran Young, and more.
